Urban rail transit has become the main way to relieve great city traffic congestion by its unique advantage. In recent years, urban rail transport system has developed rapidly, and it is critical to know that how to improve the level of operation management. The research of passengers assembling provides basic data for the station scale design in the planning and design stage, and it also can provide the reference for operation organization and management, from the view of safety and service level.Firstly, this paper classified the object of study of urban rail transit station platform on the basis of existing research results at home and abroad. Then analyzed the factors which affect assembling from the three different interactions of urban rail transit system, they are passenger, train and facilities of station.Secondly, the difference and connection of assembling passengers models were analyzed. This paper builded various models about different types platforms at different station based on the timetable, then researched on the change trend of assembling passengers number at urban rail transit platform. The occurrence time of the maximum number of assembling passengers at platform were analyzed, and then summarized the calculation formulas of the maximum number of assembling passengers at platform.Various models were builded about side platform and island platform at departure station, destination station, midway station and transfer station. The assembling passengers models of side platform at midway station have two different formulas under the condition of passengers complying with the rules of get on and off or not. The transfer passengers were divided by different source when building assembling passengers model at transfer station. Many factors were considered in the models including the number of transfer routes, the way of transfer, transfer routes’departing time interval. The assembling passengers models of platform at transfer station were builded under the case of same transfer routes’departing time interval and different transfer routes’ departing time interval. And the models are divided into four different cases following different passengers behaviors at platform under the case of same transfer routes’ departing time interval at transfer station.Thirdly, this paper researched on the island platform of route two at "Che Gong Zhuang" station, parameters of the model were provided by field survey. The quantitative effects of passenger volume and operation organization on the maximum number of assembling passengers at platform were analyzed. In other conditions remain unchanged, the maximum number of assembling passengers at platform increase with the increase of boarding and alighting passenger volume, transfer routes’ departing time interval and original routes’ departing time interval. It increases with the reduce of absolute arrival time difference.Finally, this paper described in detail the simulation processes of AnyLogic and the simulation model building steps of actual case. By comparing the relative error of results of simulation with formulas of assembling passengers number under sixty-three different conditions, the formulas were proved accurate. Sixty-one different conditions’ relative errors of results were less than7%, accounting for96.83%of all conditions.
