With the rapid development of computer technology, modern warfare took to the road of information, widely use of various electronic devices on the battlefield and electromagnetic weapons become as new attacks will appear in war normally, electronic devices and the human body will be buried in the electromagnetic radiation environment, simulation of complex electromagnetic environment has become a research focus in the field of information warfare. With the rapid development of electromagnetic environment simulation technology, simulation environment is gradually turning from the mountain to city, from indoor to outdoor. Around this problem, this paper designed and developed a kind of complex electromagnetic environment simulation system on terrain, turning from indoor to outdoor, proposed an improved indoor ray tracing algorithm, aimed to improve the computational efficiency of system.Ray tracing is a common used method in the electromagnetic environment simulation technology, its principle is to see transmitters as emit rays out into many pieces, then ray tracing for each ray, choose the ray to reach the receiver, merge finally, calculate the power, field strength of the receiver etc. Most time of algorithms is spent on each ray tracing, and most of the rays are not effective ray, how to filter out invalid rays before launching is the difficulty to improve the algorithm.This paper firstly introduced complex electromagnetic environment simulation system, proposed a theoretical foundation of ray tracing algorithm, described the parallel computing, distributed systems design ideas, mapReduce design principles, on this basis, simulation system architecture designed to achieve a parallel, distributed. After the design, described the simulation system design principles, the system’s major modules, including the client module, control module, the child node module, calculation module design etc, proposed distributed communication technology to ensure the normal interaction of each module. Then according to calculation principle, describes the current popular of the DEM data format, this is the source of terrain data simulation system, for taking into account the topography of the authenticity and computational efficiency, this paper proposed DEM file format conversion algorithm, In addition, we described the terrain loading OSG technology and large file transfer of ftp technology.Based on the theory and design discribed before, this paper proposed an improved ray tracing algorithm on buliding and improved thought of tracing algorithm on indoor, specially polygon triangulation algorithm, Finally, simulation examples verified the effectiveness and feasibility of the algorithm.
