Heating and air conditioning energy consumption accounts for about50%of thetotal building energy consumption, as the main part of the building energyconsumption, especially among public buildings, building energy efficie ncy isparticularly important, and part of the air conditioning load of the running state is notin the best condition, resulting in substantial waste of energy. Therefore, it has beenone of the focuses of current research about how to reduce the energy consumption ofcentral air conditioning system.In this paper, the most common central air conditioning system is analyzed toestablish the energy consumption model of each device by regression method, such asthe chiller model, the circulating pump model, the cooling tower model, the airconditioning unit model, the fan coil model and the boiler model. Among them,themodel variables are the chilled water outlet temperature, chilled water flow, the coolingwater inlet temperature, cooling water flow and the air conditioning load. Each modelis verified by experiments, and obtaining the model coefficients for each model,deduced the relationship and curves between energy consumption and variablesaccording to the analysis of the model of energy consumption. Then a reasonablecontrol of all aspects of strategy is proposed according to the obtained models andvariable flow technology, and the control strategy of each air conditioning links arecoordinated to achieve the overall energy efficiency of central air conditioning.The energy consumption model of each device in air conditioning system issimulated by the Simulink toolbox of MATLAB software, and these simulation modelsare combined into the global simulation model of the entire central air-conditioningsystem. The results show that using variable flow and optimal control can save about10%of energy consumption. Finally, this paper put forward a better intelligent controlmethod of central air conditioning, such as fuzzy PID control method, and improvedadaptive fuzzy PID control method.
