Single screw compressor is widely used in military aerospace, petrochemical, air conditioning, refrigeration and food industry forints advantages of excellent performance and simple structure. Meanwhile more strict requirements such as reliable structure, work stability and working life are put forward to single screw compressors designers. Sealing and Mechanical vibration are the most important part as it decides the performance of the compressor directly. The performance of the single screw compressor can be optimized by improving the efficiency and working life of sealing and reducing the resonance. Therefore, the dry gas seal is used in shaft end seal of the single screw compressor. And at last of this paper, the inherent frequencies of each rotary parts are analyzed, in order to prevent resonance.Dry gas seal is a kind of end gas lubricated mechanical seal and also an advanced non-contacting mechanical seal. Compared with traditional seal technology, dry gas seal has the advantages of less wear and tear, low leakage, long service period and high efficiency. The dry gas seal’s working principle is that when the two seal faces have the relative rotation, the pump effect and stair effect of groove will lead fluid pressure effect, forming the stable and certain rigidity gas film between the two seal faces to achieve the function of sealing. At present, dry gas seal is widely used in centrifugal compressor, centrifugal pump, expansion machine, gas turbine and other high-pressure or high-speed machines.The classic T type groove is researched in this paper.3D model of T type groove seal end face and the computing model of CFD have been established by using SolidWorks software. The simulation of the flow field on the T type groove face has been completed with Fluent software based on the CFD model of the control equation. According to the analysis results and the parameters affecting the curve, this paper has changed a parameter of T type groove to optimize its structure, and also with the optimized analysis result in the same condition. From the compared results, the performance of the improved model has been greatly improved in all aspects after optimizing the structure. In this paper, the modal on main components are analyzed by using the AnsysWorkbench software, simulate the natural vibration frequency and vibration displacement, provides the reference for the selection of the external motor.
