Vehicles braking performance directly affects the driving safety of vehicles.Brakes are the key components of the braking system,and brake torque is one of the important parameters of the vehicle braking performance.Only reached the design requirements in the brake torque, the vehicle will have good brake performance.In order to ensure the safety and improve the vehicle braking performance of vehicle driving, braking torque of the brake detection is an important task for automotive designers.The performance of the brake itself and its quality assembly on axle will affect the brake torque.Thus,the brake is assembled on axle,and it is regarded as a complete partDetection of the brake torque is the important guarantee for axle assembly quality.The paper mainly researched on axle assembly.Firstly,it introduces the axle assembly and brake assembly,Including the structure and component of the axle assembly,the working principle of drum brake and the calculation method of the maximum brake torque.Then it puts forward the design scheme and design principle of the test-bed and on the basis of these,designs and manufactures a test-bed to test the brake torque in order to meet the need of actual production.It focuses on the design of hydraulic system and control system,including the method and steps to design a hydraulic system,selecting the type of PLC in a control system,simulation and programming,and introduces the development trend of PLC control system.Finally,the test-bed tests different axles,compares and analyzes the test data.From the use, test-bed has basically reached the design expectationsAt the end of this article,it summarizes and prospects, also points out some limitations of the test-bed.
