As China’s urbanization development entered a new development stage, the increasing number of city residents, city traffic problem is more and more. The priority development of public transport is one of the main methods to solve the city traffic problems. Bus station and parking as infrastructure, key nodes in the system of city public transit system plays a core and base role. In the current development process of the city, there are three important functions of the the station location, layout form and settings, Firstly, it could effectively improve the efficiency of traffic transport; Secondly, it could save land, reduce operating costs, improve the public transport enterprise profit; thirdly, it could reduce environmental pollution, to achieve "green transportation", sustainable development of city bus.Based on the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the paper studies the setting and layout method of the bus stop and depot. Firstly, from two departments:"bus station" and "bus stop", discussed the function of the two departments. Propose main and auxiliary bus stop, and road-out stop setting mode.Secondly, on the selection of the city bus station, the paper comprehensively considers the forecasting of bus travel demand, operation of bus enterprises, situation of station, supply of the field and so on, confirmed the amount area of the bus station. Based on model of continuous location, discrete location, establish the optimized method of junior-continuous, senior-discrete, and the Delphi-confirm;Thirdly, on setting and selecting of the bus stop, the paper comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of the bus operation、transit passenger demand、service response, safety, capacity, environmental protection, site traffic impact factor and so on. Considering safety, the transit efficiency and operating efficiency, study the relation of stop berth and traffic capacity of the bus bay type of straight line type, bay type, the main and auxiliary type and so on. Then propose the linear, harbor type stop position and reasonable combination of main and auxiliary docking station.Finally, the model and method of this paper, apps in the project of Lu’an city (Anhui Province) public transportation planning, and draw the bus station scale, setting, layout and so on. It’s to test the theory in practice.
