With the rapid development of industry, the bearing performance requirements areincreasingly high. Especially the development of high-end equipment manufacturingindustry is severely restricted by the bearing performance. Therefore, carrying out highperformance bearings study has important significance. Dynamic performance analysisof the bearing has been a problem of bearing theoretical study. With the development ofCAE simulation technology, bearing performance analysis based on CAE, has become anew research direction of the world bearing industry. The subject aims to our activehigh-speed rail bearings, establishes the close to the actual working condition of thebearing, simulates and analyses the dynamic performance of the bearing by usingthree-dimensional modeling software-Pro/E, dynamic analysis of Mechanical Systemssoftware-ADAMS, finite element analysis software-ANSYS, and analyses thesimulation results by comparing the theoretical calculations. The main contents are asfollows.1. The subject builds bearing virtual prototype model by means of the powerfulthree-dimensional modeling capabilities of Pro/E. The size of bearing is definedprecisely. The parts are assembled correctly by Interference checking. Toleranceclearance between the parts can be defined accurately by the clearance analysis.2. The subject establishes collision and contact model of rigid bearing based onIMPACT contact force solving function and flexible connection theory and many-bodycollision theory. Dynamic performance of the bearing is analyzed by using ADAMSsoftware. In order to avoid the impact of the initial load, the subject formulates asimulation method in which the parameters is time-varying based on STEP function byresearching static equilibrium analysis. And the correctness of the contact model isverified. On this basis the subject analyses the dynamic performance of the bearingunder high speed and heavy load conditions by using segmented simulation method, studies the contact force between the roller and inner rings, outer rings, cage, and themoving stationarity of the cage. Then the subject analyses the simulation results bycomparing the theoretical calculations.3. The subject builds the rigid-flexible coupling model in which the outer ring ismade to be flexible body by means of the data interface between ANSYS and ADAMSsoftware, verifies correctness and effectiveness of the contact by static equilibriumanalysis, and studies the static structural analysis in ANSYS Workbench software. The correctness of the flexible body is verified by comparing nodes stress of outer ring inADAMS and ANSYS workbench software. On this basis the subject analyses thedynamic performance of the bearing under high speed and heavy load conditions, studies the influence of the flexible body to the overall performance of the bearing. Theresults show that using the flexible body can further improve the analysis accuracy.4. For optimization analysis of the bearing, the simulation method based on threesoftware is current but many repetitive actions. To solve this problem, the subject putsforward two considerations, and discusses the bearing overall optimization by combinedwith ADAMS software’s own optimized analysis function.
