In the background of economic globalization and rapid urbanization, urbanconstruction is changing heavily. The large and medium-sized cities in our country arefaced with some problems such as land scarcity and densely populated. This situationleads to the trend of High-rise buildings. The high-rise residential has become themainstream form in the development and construction. At the same time, it also hascomposited a visual and spatial environment of city image. Thus, it is essential to focuson the high buildings development. Meanwhile, how to combine Chinese traditionalresidential culture with modern life concept has become a heated issue that thedesigners concentrate on.There is relationship between Geographical factors and high-rise residential livingculture. By referencing the theory of cultural ecology, this dissertation can be illustratedthe characteristics of the high-rise residential in the city space and culture level. Huiculture is one of China’s three regional culture, and as an important part of the Huiculture, Hui-style architecture has the unique architectural modeling and spaceenvironments artistic conception such as white wall, black tiles, gable walls. It has madeup of the unique architectural form. Through the excavation and integration of Huizhouarchitectural elements, some items are used for buildings, thus forming the Hui-stylehigh-rise residential. The author summed up the concept of "the Hui-style high-riseresidential " as the combination of the new design idea, construction technology andmaterials in order to perform the Hui-style architectural thoughts that keep pace with thetimes. And the buildings integrated traditional architectural culture into their modernenvironment, and created the high-rise residential with characteristic of Huizhouregional features. This paper researches the development of the Hui-style high-riseresidential from the perspective of cultural ecology, and establishes the culturalecological system of Hui-style high-rise residential quarter. In the meanwhile, theresearcher analyses the operational mode of the Typology in the cultural ecologicalsystem of Hui-style high-rise residential. The author took the case of Gediao Zhujingwhich in Tianjin as an example to understand the spatial characteristics in the way ofTypology. The analysis is carried out from three aspects which are space structurepattern, architectural features, and cultural places. Thus it proposed the problem of thecombination of traditional and modern in high-rise residential. In addition, the authorselected the residential and cultural ecological environment of Parkview Garden House in Huangshan and Gediao Zhujing in Tianjin as the research objects of study. In order toget subjective evaluation data from the residents of the residential culture ecologicalenvironment, SD method is used to evaluate the cultural ecological environment of theHui-style high-rise residential quarter. Through the comparison on the samplecomprehensive evaluation curves and the comprehensive evaluation curve, thedifferences between the two cases can be revealed from the analysis. Then the authorcan understand the problems and inefficient points of the design and put forward upsome relevant suggestions on the development of the Hui-style high-rise residential.
