Aiming at increasingly boosted performance requirement of Computerized NumericalControl (NC) machining and meeting the need of both torque density further increased andripple torque restrained, a new torque motor method is proposed using oriental silicon steelsheet punching stator material, which is based on deeply study of existing torque motoralong with fractional-slot winding. Stator punching sheet is made in partitions and thenassembled together along the radial direction. Given that oriental silicon steel sheet hasexcellent magnetic performance along the rolling direction, which makes it possible to raisemagnetic flux density in stator, and then gives advantages to torque density of motor. Whilevertical to the rolling direction the material expresses low permeability, which limits zigzagleakage flux, and that will reduce ripple torque of the motor. The main work of this paper:Take the ferromagnetic material saturation conditions into consider we derive proximalpole slot permanent magnet synchronous motor rotor MMF and electromagnetic torqueexpression, which is consistent with FEM simulation results. It shows that oriented siliconsteel sheet with proximal polar slots PM motor has average electromagnetic torque higherthan the ordinary non-oriented silicon steel sheet motor. In analysis of the case, theapplication of oriented silicon steel sheet with proximal polar slots PM motorelectromagnetic torque boost10%above the average.Tooth top magnetic flux leakage not only reduce effective magnetic flux of permanentmagnet, also make the air gap magnetic field occur cyclical fluctuations, bringelectromagnetic torque fluctuation. The case analysis of the96slot80poles proximal poleslot permanent magnet motor,finite element simulation results show torque fluctuationreduces in applied oriented silicon steel sheet material in proximal pole slot permanentmagnet motor. Application of oriented silicon steel sheet material in proximal pole slotmotor tangential permeability is low,which restricts tooth top leakage generation. Thatallows the torque ripple of the motor reduced.The grain oriented silicon steel sheets proximal pole slots PM motor iron loss analyticalcalculation has been made, combined with finite element simulation, core loss of grainoriented silicon steel sheet motor increased slightly.Oriented silicon steel sheet material motor stator tooth width and tooth top width is applied optimized design, Different tooth width and tooth top width influence on coresaturation and the average electromagnetic torque and torque harmonics has been analyzed,Combined with case analysis and optimal design of combination are given, which willprovide reference value for the design of oriented silicon steel sheet proximal polar slotspermanent magnet motor.
