In recent years, population aging has become a serious problem for China and even the world. Along with the process of aging, the physiology obvious decline and the limbs flexibility of the elderly falling, which caused a lot of inconvenience to daily life and personal self-care is getting worse. Meanwhile the amount of extremity disability, caused by the natural disasters and traffic accidents, is continually increasing. Studies abroad have shown that transfer from bed to wheelchair have became the primary problem in taking care of disability groups and transfer from bed to wheelchair may cause secondary damage50%probability without any transfer assistive device. Take care of themselves at daily life become an urgent desire to the family and nurses also. This paper presented a research of a multifunctional nursing wheelchair bed which bound the bed and wheelchair together which can complete the daily care of elderly and disabled and avoid secondary damage due to transfer between bed and wheelchair.In order to clarify the structural design of the curved legs feature, we tested the body interface pressure on two nursing beds with different curved legs features by the X-sensor pressure test system. The maximum interface pressure under head, scapular, elbows, buttocks and heel portion were extracted from two nursing beds in different back angles and different leg angles. The effect of reducing pressure and thereby prevent pressure sores were contrasted, a theoretical basis for the structural design of the bed were provided.In this paper, the size of each functional module of wheelchair care beds were sized based on ergonomic principles. The realization of the functional modules structural were designed and analysised by using MATLAB software. The position, velocity, acceleration and force of important components graphs were obtained. The reasonableness of the agencies were verified. Modeling, assembly and motion simulation of the wheelchair nursing beds were done through UG3D modeling software. Static analysis of the wheelchair bed in different working posture were done by ANSYS Workbench to obtain the stress cloud diagram and deformation diagram and then verified the stability and strength requirements of the nursing wheelchair bed.The studies of this paper complete the tansfer between bed and wheelchair without any transfer assistive device and avoid secondary damage. The research provide a new direction to the development of rehabilitation nursing devices. The studies contribute to the standardize of the rehabilitation nursing beds and promote the development of rehabilitation nursing stive devices industry.
