Permanent magnet synchronous motor for electric passenger cars, the choice of high power, small volume requirements and poor working environment for its cooling demand is higher, good heat dissipation performance to ensure that the service life and reliability of the machine. In order to make the motor efficiency and safe operation, the heat dissipation of permanent magnet synchronous motor simulation and optimization research is particularly important. This topic research mainly divided into three parts,The first part is the motor’s main heat source, The second part is to the simplified model in thermal simulation and optimization of motor, The third part is the temperature rise test of prototype machines. Heat is calculated through the motor stator core and winding is the two main heat source of the machine. Before thermal simulation and optimization necessary simplification of motor, and the purpose is to remove the irrelevant part of the analysis, it can make the analysis more quickly and convenient, shorten the calculation time of computer. Provided based on CFX software features excellent simulation, thermal simulation of simplified motor model, and based on the simulation to design a better cooling effect of parallel weeks to channel type structure of cooling water, the last comprehensive consideration into the nozzle flow rate, temperature and pressure, further to determine the best cooling structure of velocity of water entry. Through the temperature rise test of prototype machines, The reliability of the auxiliary provided to prove the CFX software simulation, which has certain engineering application value.
