Considering that the thermal environment of the street canyon is leading a great influence on its micro climate,this paper puts forward both the form factors of cities in studying(including depth-width ratio, building density,volume rate and the open degree of sky) and the evaluation indexes of the thermal environment(including WBGT and wind speed) after reviewing and researching relevant studies.A linear relation has been found between the both.Based on the results above, a summarize of group forms which are suitable for local thermal environment in Dalian has been formed, as the result of this paper,with the help of a simulation analysis on the virtual model for study zones.The first chapter:Seeing the stress from our high-density urban constructions,like environmental problems and the heat island effects, a literature review on relevant fields will be provided.The purpose and key points of the research should been pointed out at the same time.The second chapter:Preparing for the coming measured research on local typical street canyons both theoretically and directionally, the form factors which lead a influence on the thermal environment of the canyons should be presented based on the understanding of the relationship between city street canyons and thermal environment.Chapter Ⅲ:Choosing high-density area in Dalian Zhongshan district as field testing, screening the four typical street as actual measurement places, and do a field measurement to the four test points respectively for a period of five days about a set of thermal environmental parameters about WBGT, wind speed, solar radiation, surface temperature, relative humidity and dry bulb temperature. We select typical summer day with few clouds sunny weather in Dalian as actual Measurement day.Chapter Ⅳ:Screen the measured data effectively, collate and analyze the filtered data by SPSS software. Analysis revealed that Dalian typical high-density urban street canyon morphology has a certain impact on street canyons thermal environment, the factors which control urban form such as the volume rate, building density, high aspect ratio, the sky openness and so on have different degrees of environmental impact on street canyons thermal environment, and respectively find the rule and linear regression equation.Chapter Five:On the basis of Chapter Ⅳ, optimize the shape of Valley Street in the measured area, and use computer simulation of the thermal environment by CFD software PHOENICS on the test area before and after optimization. Through the comparison result before and after optimization simulation, we find the law that adjusting the urban form can effectively improve the thermal environment of urban street canyons. Meanwhile, based on the discovered laws, we summarize urban form patterns based on good thermal environment of Dalian High-density urban place.Chapter6:By reviewing the entire context of the study, from the perspective of urban street canyons thermal environment, summarizes the rational optimization strategies about urban form in order to provide a reference for urban planning and architectural design of high-density city of Dalian. In addition, from the perspective of the survival of the construction environment and maintenance of our urban space, from other factors including government, real estate developers, builders, building materials manufacturers, designers and other to explore the views and suggestions to improve urban street canyons space environment so as to build our shared urban space environment.
