In highway design process, cover culvert, arch culvert, box culvert was very common, under normal circumstances, to expand its base in the form of open-cut basis, the base capacity to meet the design requirements. However, due to restrictions on highway vertical targets, the line is located at the impact of geological conditions, especially high-filled culvert, the culvert base capacity is not enough,considering the inconvenience and cost of ground handling factors, so that designers uses integrated base. Integral base design of the culvert has been quite common, especially in high-filled culvert (above6meters).Based on similarity theorem and dimensional analysis methods,,according to a collection of similar ratio, make the small-scale model of slab culvert and arch culvert by using similar material. Adding soil by layers to simulate real constructing course, soil gauge measure the culvert soil pressure. Model test and structural mechanics method analysed culvert high and low stress distribution in order to detect the disease reason.Considering some influencing factors including topographies of parameters of foundation soil,different foundation treatment and culvertstructure form,numerical simulation based on Flac3D software was performed. Different parameters related with vertical earth pressure were found which could offer a reference to deducing a high filled culvert vertical earth pressure formula.By theoretical analysis and laboratory test situation, select a few typical culvert and make survey and inspection. Based on the stress near the subgrade soil embedded culvert box to master the stress distribution around the soil; the results of field tests and theoretical case study, summarized the different geology, different heights of filling the whole load of foundation base the depth of power correction method.Using Terzaghi, Meyer Hoff theory to calculate the model ultimate bearing capacity and compared with numerical simulation results, standardized07results (correction term).Put forward reasonable proposals on the foundation of culvert construction...
