By introducing characteristics of the process in automatic pressing line ofautomotive manufacturing industry as well as its devices, especially expoundingthe application of industrial robots in automation pressing line, at the same timecombining with the theory of pressing process and the experience in engineeringpractice, this text elaborates a practical scheme on the following aspects, theoverall planning of pressing process,the design of pressing process, the keytechnology of pressing machine, the key technology of automation, the devicemanagement and the mold management. The main contents of the paper and theresults are as follows:(1) In terms of overall planning, according to the company the specificrequirements of the new automated stamping production line, Considering the actualoperating requirements of our company, this paper analyzes the equipmenttechnology within pressing process of line B based on the selection principle of thepressing machine and the pressing robot. Moreover techniques are detailed inmechanical principle, equipment structure, main specifications and theircharacteristics through analyzing some applying cases of each pressing unit.(2) In terms of the key technology of pressing machine, this study was designedto develop the use of ABB robot loading and unloading, rotating seven-axistechnology in automatic pressing line of Haima dramatically reduced pressing linespacing.Wet clutch technology of the pressing machine not only improved the safetyof clutches and brakes but also reduced maintenance cost. In terms of sheet metaldetection, the visual image system significantly improved the reliability of theautomation system as advanced visual sensors used in the system can accurately anddynamically catch the real location of the material. Dual pieces detection technologyeffectively prevented pieces lapping over each other depend on the magneticseparation theory.(3) This text provides some solutions for management of pressing lines,equipment management and equipment security. Through this series of solutions tobe implemented, we will guarantee a stable running for the automatic pressingsystem.
