Since the21st century, energy and environmental problems have gradually become the focus of attention, more and more serious energy shortages and increasing environmental pollution make people reflect continuously. Now, the car has been gradually accepted in China, the consequent will be huge environmental problems, so the vehicle engine emission standard of our country is increasingly strict, and the turbo technology can improve engine performance, play an important role in such aspects as reducing emissions. The development of high-performance automotive turbochargers has become a hotspot in the field of automotive technology at present.As one of the most critical components of the turbocharger, the stand or fall of compressor’s performance directly affects the efficiency of the supercharger, and certainly has an influence on engine performance. In this paper, the research object is a vehicle exhaust turbocharger compressor, after the systematic simulation calculation of the mixed flow impeller compressor and the backswept impeller compressor, and then make comparative analysis of their performance. First of all, established the geometric models of the two compressor by3d modeling software Proe, and finished the grid cell division of the geometric models in the Hypermesh software, and then got the calculation model; Then, under the rated conditions, made CFD analyses for the internal flow field of the two kinds of compressor by Fluent, through a preliminary analysis of the flow field stability of the mixed flow impeller compressor, we could find it was superior to the backswept impeller compressor; Finally, with the ANSYS software, had carried on a simple calculation to the strength of the two types of impeller, and then we could find the strength of the mixed flow impeller is slightly less than the backswept impeller by the preliminary comparing. By Trade-offing between flow field and the intensity, we can be found that the mixed flow impeller can improve the compressor performance and has the very big application prospect.
