With rapid economic development and continuous comprehensive nationalpower, High-Rise Buildings have already sprung up throughout the country. Facedwith the challenge of tall and super-tall, traditional reinforced concrete structurecannot satisfy the requirement of structure height and space layout, etc. The steelstructure is light-weight and high-strength and have good seismic performance. So ithas been widely used in high-rise buildings. Its lateral load is controlled in high-risebuildings.Because the steel structure system have a bigger structure ductility and thenatural vibration period is longer, so it also sensitive to transverse load. Due to theeastern coastal areas of high wind load, earthquake and wind load are the main lateralforce should not be ignored, therefore, in this paper, a steel frame buildings in theeastern coastal for instance against lateral force solution were studied.This paper for the steel structure at home and abroad research status of thesystem to resist lateral force and prospects the development potential in the eastcoastal city of steel structure. The paper proposes concentrically brace, eccentricallybrace, and steel frame-core wall on the basis of the existing steel frame structure andmakes the comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of various lateralscheme, stress distribution and the design need of the basic requirements. The papertakes a high-rise steel office building in the eastern coastal areas as an example anddecorates the system to resist lateral force on the basis of the steel frame and thecorresponding control parameters which can be obtained by the software analysis. Thestudy discusses several influencing factors which can influence the high-rise steeloffice building in the eastern coastal areas.The paper takes the high-rise steel office building in the eastern coastal city as amotel and makes a comprehensive analysis by the software of PKPM and SATWE,By computing the different system, the study makes a comprehensive analysis ofcontrol parameters such as different solutions to resist lateral force of the earthquakecycle, displacement, shear-gravity ratio, the ratio of rigidity-to-gravity. Through thecomparison and analysis, some valuable results which can provide the reference for the selection of the steel office building lateral resistant system of eastern coastalareas are discussed.
