In recent year, China’s aerospace technology career has rapid development. Developing a higher level of technology solar simulator and the earth simulator will effectively improve the level of the ground simulation tests for aerospace technology. Aerospace technology to provide a more accurate test techniques and test environment on the ground.The solar simulator is an important equipment of the solar sensor for ground-based simulative experiment, demarcation and capability test. Main function of solar simulator is to simulate the irradiance, spectral distribution and collimating of the solar, which is used for the simulative test of the space aircraft on the ground. Solar simulator is a controllable radiator in laboratory. Earth simulator is an important test and simulation equipment in the infrared earth ground tests in calibration, and its function is to simulate seen in a different orbit earth in a lab environment on the ground, and the state of the earth’s radiation simulation work characteristics has achieved lots of attentions of researchers recently.The paper based on the specifications of the solar simulator made the overall design of the optical systems each comprising a solar simulator xenon light source, a condenser lens and the ellipsoidal optical integrator carried out a detailed design; then impact the performance of the solar simulator of the optical system a variety of factors were analyzed; finally completed the overall structure of the solar simulator design and processing, and conducted experimental testing of its performance. Characteristics of the earth’s infrared background radiation is analyzed, simulated Earth infrared background, obtained earth simulator is designed external conditions, proposed the earth simulator system design, electrical heating of selected films were calculated demonstration, hot planet light Lanna design, structural design, the design of the optical modulator disk angular velocity and angular design of the reasoning.After testing, the effective radiation area of the solar simulator2500mm, irradiance of1.15solar constant, irradiation unevenness of±4.4%, irradiation instability of±0.52%.Therefore, we can reach the conclusion that the performances of indicators have already satisfied the requirements of design and application.
