Since the reform and opening up, China’s national economy has made a rapid development and the society has accumulated a lot of wealth. Meanwhile, unprecedented construction including a large number of different styles of architecture was presented in China.In this round tide of construction, many universities expanded the existing campus area to improve school conditions and expand enrollment. Some build the new campus directly. In this period, all universities have a larger campus and a new campus architecture. And then a similar architectural style of the new university campus, lack of character and a serious of problems follows. The new campuses that built in Shandong also have this problem. In contrast, some famous traditional university campus architecture are special and form its own unique campus landscape, such as the Drum Tower in Nanjing University Campus (formerly University of Nanking), Shandong Medicine University (formerly Cheeloo University).The Regional Architecture is the important attribute of its own. In order to adapt to the local unique natural geographical environment, the architecture in different areas presents different architectural styles and forms. Additionally, the local unique culture atmosphere also gives the architectural unique forms. All in all, the regional characteristics is one of the important method to endow character for the architecture. The cost of the regional characteristics is much lower and easy for implementation comparing with other technical method.This article starts from the influence factors of regional architecture. The research object is the traditional campus architecture of Shandong district where is a representative area and last a long time. This article makes positive analysis of the traditional campus architectural regional character forming factors in Shandong district, and then sums up the design strategy of traditional architectural regional characteristics in Shandong district.This article has seven chapters in total, which is divided into five parts:The first chapter is the first part of the article and the openings of this article. This part focuses on the selected topic background, related research results of the architecture regional characteristics in domestic and overseas and the content, method and meaning of the research, which lays a foundation for the following.The second chapter is the second part of the article. The regional characteristics related content of university Campus architecture in Shandong district is determined through the related research analysis of China’s University architecture regional characteristics. This article also include the related research background, and connecting with the present situation of universities in Shandong district to determine the research object of this article.The third part includes the third, forth and fifth chapter of this article. Firstly, combining with the characteristics of traditional campus in Shandong district, this part makes analysis from natural environment, social environment and city environment respectively, and uses the comparative analysis and POE to make contrasting examples and list analysis. This part makes much deeper research on the development of regional characteristics and effect of environment for the university traditional campus architecture in Shandong district, which lays a solid theoretical foundation for next research.The forth part is the sixth chapter of this article. Combining with the above part research conclusion of university tradition campus regional characteristics in natural environment, social environment and city environment, and combining with parts of examples in four aspects (the contacting evolution of spatial structure, the type integration of the architecture morphology, the visual order of historical sites and the contextual environment), this article puts forward the correspondence university campus architecture regional design strategy of Shandong district respectively.The seventh chapter is the fifth part. This part is the ending of the article, which summarizes the related process of this research and corresponding conclusion and make the finishing point. |
