By2020, China’s civil aviation air traffic is expected to more than three times then2010, the annual aircraft movements will reach15million. The traditional layout and thenumber of Radar and other surveillance technology will be difficult to meet the growingneeds of air transportation. ADS-B technology can not only improve the air trafficsurveillance capability, enhanced airports operation support capability, but also improveairlines operational monitoring capabilities and enhance general aviation surveillancecapability, therefore, solving its ground stations deployment is important.This paper systematically studied the deployment of ground stations problemsneeded to be solved, analyzing the factors that affect air channel transmission,calculating ADS-B signals maximum range, combing with GIS analysis algorithmresults in visual field to cover a place with single station,then establishing regional androute coverage model.After finish all that work, paper select northeast of China andB213route as the research objects to use regional coverage model and routes coveringmodel to achieve a single coverage, and adjusting the position of the ground stations tomeet the requirements of without seam coverage.First, an overview of the wireless channel and its characteristics.In this part, thesisanalyze the impact of aviation channel transmission of large-scale models, whichinclude the path loss and shadow fading. After analyzing the effects of transmission lossin free space and the Earth’s curvature on the Stadia wave come ADS-B signalsmaximum range.Secondly, in this part of paper introduce the concept of the visual field analysis,comparing several visual field analysis algorithms and analyzing the experimental data,showing the results of the analysis after complete the experimental data analyzing.Finally, at the last of this paper establish the regional and route coverage model,then selecting Chengdu as the place covered with single station in different height levels;selecting the Northeast as the region covering area, the area covered by the model ofregion is covered in different height levels,in order to make full use of the maximum range,the paper adjust the position of the ground station with a method; for routecoverage, the paper select B213route, because the route through the high plateauregion, overcoming the influence of the terrain by adjusting and increasing groundstation sites will cover the route completely.
