The engineering properties of over-consolidated structural soil is very complicated, it has a close relationship with consolidation pressure, stress history and the structure of soil. To precisely analyze the influence of different factors on the over-consolidation and structure of soil is relatively difficult, and establishing the constitutive model has always been a difficult point in the geotechnical field. Currently there is no systematic research on the working mechanism of over-consolidated structural soil, as well as the proper analytical method or theory. Therefore, it is of great significance both theoretically and practically to study the engineering properties of over-consolidated structural soil. The engineering properties of over-consolidated soil and structural soil are similar, but their working mechanisms are different, and the difference of working mechanisms between the two soils is always mixed up in most of recent studies. The aim of this paper is by making over-consolidated soil sample, structural soil sample and over-consolidated structural soil sample to model the in situ stress deformation process of over-consolidated structural soil, reveal its compression properties, deformation properties and strength properties, and obtain the corresponding mechanical indicators and parameters. Thus, different influencing factors of over-consolidation and soil structure on the engineering properties can be compared and the relationship between the compression properties and the strength properties of over-consolidated structural soil can be summarized. The specific research method in this paper is to make soil samples artificially, the samples are as follows:remolded saturated clay, normal consolidated remolded clay, over-consolidated remolded clay, structural soil, normal consolidated structural soil and over-consolidated structural soil. By shear strength tests and compression tests of the above soil samples, the strength properties and consolidation properties under different conditions are obtained. By analyzing the laboratory test results on the mechanical properties of over-consolidated structural soil, the influence of the initial void ratio, pre-consolidation pressure, over consolidation and the structure on the engineering properties of soft soil are studied. The study in this paper has accumulated large amount of test results and data for the establishment of constitutive model which considering various factors for over-consolidated structural soil. |
