The feasibility study is very important in starting a highway construction project. It is a scientific method to conduct the overall technology and economic analysis of a proposed projcet before the project decision. Nowadays, projects with a certain scale have to conduct project feasibility study according to relative regulations. Theories and methods on feasibility study is pretty mature based on the work experience over the past years. However, as a result of the uniqueness of each project and the changes of construction environment, the existing experience is not omnipotent. It is quite necessary to make research and analysis according to specific conditions in order to avoid the loss caused by blind investment. This thesis takes the tourist highway consturcton from Changting to Shuangfeng in the Snow Town of China as the researching topic. After specific suveys on traffic volume in the site of the project, theretical researches and analyses are made on the tourist highway consturcton project listed before. First, presenting the background and meaning of the researching topic of this thesis and demonstrating the research merits, social merits and economic merits of the project construction. Third, analyzing and predicting the development of traffic volume in the future. Fourth, putting forward and comparing different route planns according to the natural conditions and highway network of the region where the project is located. At last, national economic evaluation is made on the project in order to predict its econimic benefit, investment recovery period and degree of risks.
