TCDS system (Train Coach Running Diagnosis System) is anew type of train safety Diagnosis system developed to adapt to the more and more high to the safe running trains requirements in our country. It is through the vehicle safety monitoring device, real-time monitoring and diagnosis on key components of passenger train running. Since2005, the TCDS system has been in the country18Railway Bureau and its tube depot installed and put into use. The safety of train operation effectively monitor, and the occurrence of many endanger traffic safety accidents has been Effectively reduced. The system put into use to achieve the expected effect.But in practice there are some problems restrict the TCDS system playing role. Such as the journal temperature false alarm phenomenon is frequent, TCDS network communication is not stable, unstable data transceiver, data transmission is not complete, data loss or system congestion frequently, marshaling message is been displayed error, ground application is not perfect etc.This paper presents the background and significance of the improved TCDS system, and analyses application status train running safety monitoring system, at home and abroad as well as the railway depot. The TCDS integral and the working principle of each part are introduced. Combined with the current TCDS management, it carefully analyses the existing problems. Combined with the current application status of TCDS, it adopts the idea of modular design, low coupling, easy to expand from the software aspect, to upgrade and development TCDS. System after upgrading is validated by experiment.Through experimental verification can be seen:The system Upgraded and improved can effectively reduce the network congestion. It can Improve accuracy of journal temperature alarm. It can reduce the marshalling changes. The real-time, accuracy, integrity of the system have been greatly improved. It can avoid many problems due to hardware environment. In addition, The upgraded system perfects ground data analysis and statistical functions. It can Provide more strong technical support for the user to be engaged in safety management of transportation.
