The soil nailing retaining system, which developed in recent20years, has been used in excavation, reinforcement of slope soils. In numerous retaining system, because the soil nailing has advantages of quick and easy, reliable, economic and so on, which has been widely promotion and application. But with the deepening of the urbanization process, soil nailing structure is put forward higher requirement; It is not only an important content of urban environmental protection, at the same time, it has important reference value for engineering practice. Based on the research status of soil nailing structure and engineering practical requirements, both the theory and the numerical simulation of soil nailing is studied, the main research content is as follows:(1) Based on mechanism of soil nailing structure, Function is deduced that Critical height H, rupture Angle θ is related to the slope Angle β and internal friction Angle Φ, and discussed the failure surface damage forms.(2) Based on the incremental method, discussed the different model of earth pressure affecting nail internal forces, through calculation and analysis, regardless of the soil nail spacing size, which is recommended technical specification of the first and wang bu yun method of earth pressure model to calculate soil nailing internal force.(3) From the elasticity theory and engineering experience to estimate the deformation of soil nailing and through the engineering examples, verified the rationality of the elasticity theory method.(4) Using finite element software ABAQUS to simulate some parameters of the soil nail retaining structure and the change of the slope Angle and analyzed the simulation results. For future similar engineering construction, it has the concern reference significance.
