In the21st century today, concrete has become the most important construction material of the city. Most parts of the ground are covered by concrete in the city. As the grasp of concrete technology, how to build concrete quickly has become the past. How to design concrete is the current issue of concern. Thus, concrete is not the initial material of construction. It becomes a kind of architectural design. The lack of pursuit of the beauty of concrete is the common problem of the city. The fundamental reason is that designers are lack of practical knowledge of concrete. In order to establish the macro understanding of concrete building design. This article analyses the basis of concrete design from the Angle of theory, first. Concrete’s performance in contemporary architecture is the combination of the material itself and the technology of construction. If only we can express the true concrete material itself and chose suitable technology of construction, the real performance of concrete material will become extremely beautiful. Then, I summarize the special ways of building concrete construction from the microscopic view. Through several groups of small operation test, we can get a further understanding of the process and details of building concrete construction, which we should pay attention to. At last, I discuss the future direction for the sustainable development of concrete, during the actual situation of the present concrete building in the city. Rather than pure solution of the social development of urban construction, I want to summarize how to make full use of concrete materials in the design of architecture.
