The energy crisis and the environmental pollution show the need to take thenecessary actions so that we human beings could survive in the earth. The automotiveindustry using much energy and causing air pollution has gain the attention from moreand more people. Whether or not a new style of vehicle exists? It is the fuel cellvehicle which use regenerative energy, react with the oxygen in the air and onlygenerate the water at last. So a very good solution to energy crisis and air pollutionappears.As a new style of automotive, the fuel cell vehicle is different from theordinary in the structure and principle, so it is necessary to take some researches,especially in the motive force. The fuel cell vehicle consumes the green energy, hashigh efficiency and generates the water. But it is well known that the fuel cell vehiclehas not good dynamic respond ability to the various work environments. It cannotsupply the enough power when.necessary and not receive the regenerative brakingpower. Nowadays the storage cells and super capacities have used as the assistedpower sources.This paper is based on the project about the research of the advancedin-wheel-motorized-drive system, studying on power matching of fuel cell electricvehicle with in-wheel-motorized-drive system.The first part of the passage tells the several structures of the fuel cell vehicles.Then according to the quota of motor force, economy and the cost, it isreasonable to select the fuel cell combining with the storage cell as the motor forcesource of the fuel cell vehicle. The control strategy is explained in this part. Thesecond part tells the selection of some key components including the fuel cell, theassisted motor force and in-wheel motor and so on. Then the necessary parameters ofthe above components will be calculated according to the selected technical goals and the relative vehicle theories. The third part tells how to build and run the model of thewhole vehicle. Combining with the parameters of involved in the second part and thevarious structures of the motor force components, the software matlab/simulink andadvisor will be used to model the running condition in some typical situations, suchas the china urban conditions, udds urban conditions and so on. According to theresults of the modeling the conclusion is made as following: the technical parametersdesigned are reasonable. The control strategy is also play the necessary role. Thewhole vehicle could run properly in various conditions. The fourth part tellsoptimization of all the necessary parameters, aimed at improving the grades of thevehicle in the motor force and the economy. The truth tells that it is well done toimprove the power density of the fuel cell and the in-wheel motor, which will behelpful to decrease the mess of the whole vehicle and to the flexibility of the wholecomponents placed in the vehicle. By the above research, it is proved reasonable toreequip a ordinary vehicle to the fuel cell vehicle.
