The research on the tourism destination system is a key issue for tourism subject research all the time. It has various research methods. Research on the tourism destination system can analyze the degree of system elements’aggregation and equilibrium condition. It can also provides premise and basis for further improvement and optimization.In addition, With the rapid development of world tourism industry, especially since the construction of Hainan international tourism island, Hainan has attracted extensive attention from all sides. However, at the same time, the exposed problems should not be ignored, for example, the excessive single development of tourist attractions, the imperfect infrastructure and services, the unbalanced regional development, the discordant cooperation among every departments and so on. Therefore, as the single tropical island of China, analyzing the distribution of Hainan’s system elements and coupling relation can optimize its spatial structure and promote the integration development of Hainan’s tourism industry.Based on fractal theory, growth pole theory, point-axis system theory, core-periphery theory and the circle theory are also be used in the paper. The whole Hainan province is divided into two parts, the southern and northern part. Including above A-class tourist attractions, geological park, national forest parks and natural reserves,46estimation points are selected in tourism attraction system. Including Haikou, Wenchang, Sanya, Lingshui and so on,18cities are selected as measurement points in tourism city system. The tourism traffic system selects all highway, national highway, provincial highway and railway as measurement point. And then the paper calculates the aggregation fractal dimension, space relation dimension of tourism attraction system and tourism city system, the long-radius fractal dimension of tourism traffic system. The results show that three subsystems have obvious fractal features with different measuring point. On the basis, the paper discusses the elements’ spatial distribution of three subsystems, followed by the analysis of spatial coupling condition. Finally, the paper provides optimization measures for each subsystems.
