Currently refrigerating compressor spends lots of electricity each year.Efficiency of single-phase induction motor for refrigerating compressor has a directaffect on energy efficiency ratio of refrigerating compressor and air conditioningsystems. The induction motor’s efficiency has great significance for energyconsumption, so the optimization design of single-phase induction motor is veryimportant. Motor optimization model and optimization design issue has beenwidespread concerned by motor design workers.This paper aims at the design of single-phase asynchronous motor with capacitorrunning and high efficiency used for refrigerating compressor. Through theoreticalanalysis, numerical calculation combined with experimental study, the design ofprocess, the simulation for the motor used for refrigerating compressor were analyzedin detail. The preproduction and measurement of the new pecification motor areperformed. First, the development process and present situation of refrigeratingcompressor are described, the selection principle of refrigeration compressor motor isintroduced, the basic structure and operation principle of single-phase asynchronousmotor has been analyzed in detail. Then according to the request for utilization anddesign features of single-phase asynchronous motor, the stator of the batch motor isoptimized with the rotor parameters of the batch motor unchanged. Mainly for statoryoke cutting edge forms, stator windings and stator slot type parameters arechanged.Giving design ideas of the new pecification motor on the basis of analysis ofthe batch motor. The parameters of the batch motor and the new pecification motorwere calculated respectively with Ansoft’s RMxprt electromagnetic analysis software.The batch motor and the new pecification motor were modeled and simulated withAnsoft’s Maxwell2D finite element simulation software. The simulation results of thebatch motor are compared with the simulation results of the new pecification motor.Finally, according to the design scheme is proposed in this paper, the new pecificationmotor has been made. Its performance has been tested to verify the design idea’scorrection. The theoretical analysis results are compared with the actual test results, the next step measures taken for improvement are given in the paper.By comparing the new pecification motor with the batch motor, these areproved that the electromagnetism design is appropriate and that the performance isexcellent. The efficiency of the new pecification motor is1.5percentage points higherthan the efficiency of the batch motor to accord with the request of design. Theresearch achievements have a high practical values.
