The study of sea ice has already begun around the world, and the design and construction techniques of ice ship are basically mature which is still at start-up phase in our country both in theory and engineering application. For those countries lied in mid-and-high latitudes such as China, the resource development and channel utility in ice are of great significance. All of them depends on the ice ships,which is the research object of this article.Based on the previous work of the hull structure strengthening, this paper studied the interaction between sea ice and the hull structure, establied the calculation model of actual ice load, and verified and optimized the hull structure in order to make it more economic on the premise of safety, in which an certain euphausia superba processing fishing vessels is taken as the study object according to Classification Rules of Steel Sea-going Vessel. The research can be divided into two parts, one is the research on ice load, the other is on the finite element analysis and optimization of hull structure of ice.The ice load was analized by studying the effect of ice distribution principle and refining the ice on the hull and the force from the outside. Then a three-dimension theoritical model was established in two aspects of the bow of breaking and bow region of Ice Crush. At last, comepare the model with the conventional formula and the specified computting methods after calculation, broadening the research ideas for the optimization of ice load calculation.In the finite element analysis and optimization of hull structure, this paper focused on the operational environment and mode, investigating the complex condition of hull structure and analyzing the ship structural mechanics characteristics under different impact loads at low temperature; then using the large finite element software ANSYS, establish the finite element model in ice loading area, study the mechanical characteristics of hull structure at low temperature and the distribution of stress and strain in a typical regional structure under ice load by numerical simulation, and evaluate the strength and optimize the stengthened structure of the euphausia superba processing fishing vessels.
