Aqueducts are complex hydraulic structure which plays an important role in hydraulicengineering, Aqueducts usually cross valleys, rivers or roads which are generally used forwater delivery, drainage, water diversion, etc. The dynamic characteristic of the fluid in theslot has an important influence on the structure when aqueducts are affected by earthquake,especially when the carrying capacity is larger, which affect its normal operation.In this paper,we based our study on aqueduct engineering in Piaotang tungstenmine,we use the finite element method for dynamic analysis and establish a dynamicanalysis model for arched aqueduct,and study this major aqueduct structural dynamicmodel,we also took modal calculation on the basis of this model, and got the vibrationcharacteristics of this arched aqueduct. besides,we analysis aqueduct’s response spectrumunder different conditions and analysis part of construction technology which is used inthis aqueducts engineering. At last,we got the following conclusions:1. water’s influence in aqueduct will decrease the stiffness of the structure and has asignificant influence on the seismic stability of aqueduct’s structure;2. With the increase of aqueduct structure mode, the frequency gradually increasedwith the increase of modal, the cycle is diminishing, vibration type aqueduct deformationfirst with the transverse vibration is given priority to, then appear the whole verticalvibration and torsional vibration of the aqueduct, aqueduct transverse under earthquakestiffness decrease obviously, so in the design of aqueduct construction should adopt theway and reasonable measures enhanced aqueduct transverse stiffness;3. Aqueduct’s weight, tank water, seismic force on internal forces, stresses anddisplacements of the aqueduct had different effects on the aqueduct, in the design andconstruction of the aqueduct to fully consider the impact of weight and external loads;4. Piaotang tungsten mine for large span aqueduct some key construction process、technology and construction points have been studied for a similar aqueduct project andassociated works draw reference.
