In recent years, Chinese railway industry has been developed rapidly; especially the emergence of the high-speed railway compresses time and space, changing the way people live. As high-speed railway is convenient for people to travel, its reliability becomes the focus of attention. However, the current reliability analysis of high-speed train system still keeps on the traditional and single research approach. Obviously this cannot meet the feature of high-speed train system with complex structure and diverse association of equipment. Therefore, a comprehensive reliability analysis of the complex high-speed train system rises up as the main study area.Referring to the characteristics of high-speed train system and the relationship between system units, this article abstracts high-speed train system as a new network model using the theory of network topology. In this model, system unit is abstracted as a node; the failure rate of system unit is abstracted as node properties; the relationship between the units is abstracted as an edge; the strength of the association is abstracted as the edge weights. In this way, a network model which can reflect the structure and characteristics of high-speed train system is built up. Considering network model with more nodes and complex structure, in order to build the network model, it can also be divided into several subsystems and treat each subsystem as a node and the relationship between each subsystem as an edge based on the methodology discussed above. The model constructed through this methodology meets with the feature of structuralization, modularization, networklization and so on. Based on the network model and the Monte Carlo algorithm, it can conclude with a reliability analysis approach by utilizing network theory. This approach combines the relationship between each node and the attributes of each node and differentiates from previous approach, which relies solely on the node failure rates. Using the Monte Carlo simulation algorithm, this approach can calculate the MTBF by examining independent trials repeatedly, evaluate system reliability and derive system critical nodes by combining system composition structure. After these steps, a comprehensive evaluation of the reliability of the high-speed train system will come out. This method has been examined through practical experiment and can be used as a new reference for the reliability study of the high-speed train system.Based on the above theory and experimental results and the basic structure and operational approach of high-speed railway, this article aims at achieving reliability analysis of high-speed train system by applying the Python language and Django development framework. The system combines the failure data of high-speed train and the relationship of equipment, reaching the reliability analysis of the high-speed train with its failure data and device relationship. The research result will contribute to the study of the reliability of high-speed train system as a reliable reference.
