Externally prestressed concrete structure is a branch of post-tensioning unbonded prestressed concrete structure, is one structure system that totally use prestressd steel which out of concrete section to apply vertical prestress. In recent years, new building materials and structural members is rising, manufacturing technology is becoming better, solved the durability and structure design problem of prestressd steel. External prestressed structure has a flourishing development. The technique of external pretress more and more be used to reinforce and increase load of structures.The thesis based on experiment of simply-supported T beam which study the application of external prestressing technique, it is the sub-project of Liaoning provincial communication department’s important scientific research project. By using finite element software of AN SYS, nonlinear numerical simulate on reinforced concrete structure and pre-stressed concrete structure which widely used in building, compaired experimental data and theoretical calculation data, to prove the feasibility of finite element simulation.This paper main study mechanical characteristics, load increment level and influence factors of simply-supported T beam strengthened by external prestressing. Analysis and research the mid-span deflection, ultimate bearing capacity and stress increment of external prestressing steel’s theoretical calculation method of simply-supported T beam and reinforced simply-supported T beam. Analysis and research the best reinforce time and load increment effect of reinforced simply-supported T beam which is not uninstalled. To prove before cracking is the best reinforcement effect and external prestressing have good load increment effect. Use finite element calculation software ANSYS to model three-dimensional simply-supported T beam strengthened by external prestressing, and analysis the mechanical properties influence of simply-supported T beam strengthened by external prestressing on prestress degree, concrete strength grade, pretressed steel section area and prestressed steel location, to prove reasonable and reliable of experimental reinforcement scheme.
