| A large number of cotton straw waste is produced in Xinjiang region each year, it has beenincreasingly applied to building materials, because straw source is widely, economy, environmentallyfriendly. In this paper, we study the compressive properties and along the seam shear performance of theblock masonry that is put plant reinforced mortar layer by different strength grade brick, cement mortar anddifferent reinforcement ratio. The basic mechanical properties of plant reinforced block masonry arenumerically simulated by the finite element software ABAQUS. Obtain compressive strength formula, shear strength formula and design value of the masonry. Provide certain theoretical basis for application ofthe masonry in rural areas. The following several work is completed in the paper:(1) Get the basic mechanics performance of the different varieties of cotton straw by the tensile teststudy. Conduct mechanical property tests of B06, B07class autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, includingcompressive strength, splitting tensile strength, elastic modulus, axial compressive strength, etc. Test thecompressive strength of two kinds of strength grade of cement mortar test block, gain material compressivestrength parameters parameters.(2) Research the joint shear performance and the compressive properties of plant reinforced masonrywhich is made up of2strength grade of blocks,2strength grade cement mortar of2kinds of reinforcementratio cotton stalks. The test results show that, the intensity of block have the largest impact on thecompressive strength of masonry. The improvement of compression performance by each layer plantconfiguration is larger than that is by interlayer plants configuration masonry in masonry. The greatestimpact is mortar strength for the masonry shear strength. The shear strength of the masonry is improved byconfiguration of level plants.(3) Set up compressive performance test and shear performance test numerical model of thereinforced block masonry with plants by the finite element software ABAQUS for numerical computation. And the basic mechanical properties of masonry under other conditions is simulated. Combined withexperimental results and numerical simulation results, the compressive strength and the shear strengthformula of masonry is deduced. Work out the compressive strength design value and the shear strengthdesign value of the reinforced block masonry with plants which is made up of a variety of blocks, cement mortar and a variety of reinforcement ratio cotton stalks. |
