Research On The Modern Expression Of The Architectural Regionality

Globalization promotes the communication among the different regions of the world. However, global interference affects almost every field, and architecture is no exception. It leads to the homogenization of the architectural space and form, and the loss of the local culture which buried by the commercial culture. We should notice that the regional characters are replaced by the international characters gradually. However, it really has a great significance to explore the regional architecture for China which has a long history. In the globalization, it should be young architects’ responsibility to protect, develop and innovate the regional architectures. This paper is to discuss the modern expression of the regional building which take the regional architecture as the object of study.The diversity of the regional architectures not only enriches the developing trend of world multiculture, but also motivates the sustainable development of the contemporary architecture. The formation of the architectural form is not to pursue visual effects, but to adhere to its internal construction logics. It is affected by lots of complex factors, including the natural environment, society culture, economic development, technology improvement, the architects’thought, etc., and it reflects the real world. This paper makes specific researches about regional architectural space, creative thought of form, creative method, and creative principle through studying at related theories of the architectural regionality and analyzing a large amount of regional architecture projects. And then this paper explores the relationships among the complex influence factors, architectural space and architectural form, and repeals the essence of the regional architecture. Combining with the engineering practice, this paper summarizes a series of creative methods and provides valuable references for architects as well.
