Development Of Engine Combustion Analysis System On Automobile

Now, most of the engine combustion analysis systems being used on market are foreign products and usually high in price. Although a lot of research has been done on engine combustion analysis system, there is no domestic product reached on the market, let atone compete with foreign products. According to this situation, it is necessary to research on engine combustion analysis system for promoting the development and application of engine combustion analysis system.On the basis of grasping the theory knowledge of combustion analysis, the general scheme of engine combustion analysis system was determined based on the system requirement analysis. Considering the inconvenience of bench test in earlier stage, the combustion signal simulator was developed, which can realize function of signal transformation between time domain signal and angular domain signal. The key problem of signal synchronization between output signal and resample signal was solved. The simulator can be used to aid development of engine combustion analysis systems in earlier stage by output analog signal, and it can be used as auxiliary development tools for further research on dynamic test of combustion analysis.The hardware platform of combustion analysis system was constructed by pressure sensor, crank angle encoder of Kistler Corporation and data acquisition card of NI Corporatioa The software platform was based on LabVIEW, which can realize real-time data acquisition and store of combustion signal, and it can realize processing and analysis of off-line data, such as correction of zero drift and TDC, homogenization and lairing and combustion analysis. Data sampling rate for one channel of the whole system can reach to lMS/s, performance of high-speed acquisition meets the demands of engine combustion analysis system.A lot of tests were conducted by using engine combustion analysis system in the State Key Laboratory of Automotive Safety and Energy in Tsinghua University. The performance of high precision of engine combustion analyse system was verified by comparing with the results of AVL combustion analysis system in the same condition, which lay a foundation of commercialization and practicality of combustion analysis system in China.
