Shell boiler is one of the most commonly used in industrial boiler, The smoke plate ismain pressure parts of the shell boiler, its structure and the loading condition are complex.At present the design of the structure of boiler body mostly still adopts the conventionaldesign, that is basing on the mechanics of materials and the simplified calculation formulaof plate and shell membrane theory, and than multiply empirical coefficient. But thesecoefficients always are larger, the calculated results also partial conservative, theconventional design neither give accurate analysis of stress conditions for boiler pressureparts (smoke plate), nor make strict and detailed calculation for actual stress distribution ofsome important areas.This paper analyzes the stress state of tube plate starting from the conventional designof shell boiler.It is founded that stress concentration position is joints straight transitionzone inner edges and inside surface of the joint of tube plate and smoke tube.but thestress of two place is far less than the allowable stress of the material.Therefore this papemake industrial boiler engineering practice safety and economy as a direction and finiteelement tool on the boiler pressure components applications in recent years for support.Than it propose to an optimization of the smoke tube layout of tube sheet It shorten thedistance of smoke plate pipe bridges and increases the number of smoke tubes.in order toincreasing the number of smoke tubes,reduce exhaust gas temperature,increase convectiveheat transfer surface area and, improve the thermal efficiency of the boiler purposes.Thentake stress analysis and strength assessment of optimized tube sheet structure using finiteelement. Select concentration stress areas and assess two stress routes at the maximumstress location. it is concluded that stress of optimized structure boiler tube plate couldmeet the requirements of material stress and verify the feasibility of the boiler tube sheetstructure optimization program and make a contribution to boiler structure optimizationand other engineering practices The content of this paper response to national policies of reducing energy andresource consumption grew enormous pressure on ecological environment at "TwelfthFive-Year" period The paper can improve thermal efficiency of shell boiler and reducecoal consumption of the boiler.At the same time it reduces the exhaust gas temperature ofshell boilers and make a contribution to energy saving polices in the country.
