This paper studied properties of silicone polymer cement mortar. Using the innerdropped silicone-waterproofing agent is the most convenient and effective way to improvethe waterproof of cement mortar. When the silicon infiltrated into the substrate by capillaryaction, dehydration react with silanol groups forming a water film of orientedorganosiloxane in the surface of pores and substrate. This water-repellent film with athickness of several nanometers does not affect the appearance of the cement mortar, andcan prevent the intrusion of moisture. This article describes the classification, research andapplication of silicone waterproofing agent. This paper study the inner dropped siliconecement mortar, the main work is as follows:(1) Silicones can be used in place of a certain degree of retarder, studied by settingtime test and consistency test. Help for the preparation of large volume waterproofconcrete. The incorporation of a small amount of silicone will be the role of slightly waterreduction.(2) The doped silicone cement mortar specimens flexural strength and compressivestrength was not significantly decreased in flexural strength test and compressive strengthtest. All specimens’ strength increased in the beginning and then decreased, and alwayslower than the benchmark case.(3) The water absorption of B0specimen was4.82%after12h through waterabsorption test and waterproof test. The hydration of silicone polymer cement mortar wassufficient, and with less internal pores. Water absorption of test block reached1.32%.Waterproof of silicone polymer cement mortar significantly was superior to ordinarycement mortar.(4) After50freeze-thaw cycles, the strength loss rate of B0was up to17%, and themass loss rate was0.7%. But the strength loss rate of silicone polymer cement mortar was4%, and the mass loss rate was0.4%. The intensity of B0is increased to18.3MPa byimmersed in10%NaOH, and only8.8MPa in HCl. Demonstrated good resistance toaggressive chemical solvents. Carbonation level of Silicone polymer cement mortar wasless than B0.
