Intercity train underground station is a new form of construction of railwaytransportation, which has the characteristics of railway station and subway station, but at thesame time, it has its unique characteristics. Generally, stations built very large are located inthe city underground, composed of complex. When fire occurs,rescue is difficult and firecauses huge loss and negative social influence. If smoke control system is designed perfectly,it can make staff out of the influence of smoke. Compared with traditional train station andsubway station, its design is more difficult and complex.In this paper, the characteristics of such architectures are summarized by comparing withthe MTR station and subway station. The construction area is very large. The architecturalconstruction is long and narrow. The stations are buried depth. The influence of its uniquenessfor fire protection design is analyzed. Fire risk assessment about the stations is analyzed. Inthe paper, the provisions of current codes and purpose of the fire protection measures areanalyzed. Fire smoke control scheme for stations comes out by using the method oftheoretical analysis and numerical simulation, referencing performance-based design andsimilar building fire protection design scheme. Public area of the stations can be divided as afire compartment if strengthening measures are used. Smoke prevention zone of the publicplaces can be divided by2000m2. Remote air condition system can be used to fill the windwhen fire occurs in the station hall, and the station hall can be used to fill the wind when fireoccurs in the platform. Smoke exhaust in different smoke prevention zone must linkage open.Amount of each smoke prevention zone equals the larger value between the specification andthe NFPA92B formula. The screen door system should be arranged between the platformwaiting area and the rail line, and set up smoke facilities independently. Finally, the designscheme is applied to an example. The results show that the scheme proposed in the paper isfeasible. The research results can provide a reference for fire protection design of the sametype construction and the basis for the formulation of relevant norms.
