This article writes the scripts of ABAQUS with Python in order that develops a finiteelement analysis platform of powder forged connecting rod. In addition, Material mechanisminclude conventional steel、aluminum、copper alloy and ductile material. First, this paperexplain the process of execution a separate one of theses modules. Then,all modules wasintegrated into a powder forged connecting rod finite element analysis platform by writingGUI code and plug-ins registration code.The three-dimension thermal fluid-solid coupling finite element analysis model wasfounded with this platform. Show that equivalent stress of the connecting rod small hole wasgreater than this material yield limit by studying the relationship of the iron-based powderforging connecting rod equivalent stress and temperature rise. That was conformity with thefailure parts of the connecting rod with the practice. This explains the design safetycoefficient was low. After computing put forward that the design of the connecting rod safetycoefficient increased form1.5to1.5, just can meet the requirement at any temperature andconditions of use. On this basis, the selection of weight as objective function, the iron basepowder forging connecting rod’s small head and shaft structure improvement. Afterimprovement, the connecting rod can satisfy the use requirement.This paper wrote the fatigue analysis program using the Python language based oncritical plane method and asymmetric alternating load fatigue safety coefficient calculationformula after the multiple statics analysis results in the cases was integrated into an odb file.By comparing the analysis found that after the structure improvement of iron base powderforging connecting rod fatigue performance had made a lot of improvement on the little headend, further proof that when making the structure design of connecting rod can’t ignore theinfluence of the temperature rise.This text provides a simple quick creation of powder forging connecting rod finiteelement analysis model of the platform, regardless of the temperature influence the design ofiron-base powder forging connecting rod can not meet the demands, explained the practicelink in capitalism failure reason. Fatigue analysis program was written using the Pythonlanguage, for fatigue strength analysis of this kind of connecting rod. This article foriron-based powder forging connecting rod reliability analysis provides a simple pretreatmentmethod and a more accurate design idea.
