With the continuous development of wind power industry, varieties of small and medium-sized wind turbine are increasing and technical requirements also becoming higher. But our country’s wind power production quality is low, and lack of stability,the reason is that the design technique is relativelylag behind.Blade is the key units to transform wind energy into electrical energy, the design of blade directly affects the overall performance of the wind turbine. This paper introduced design procedures and performance calculation process based on600w wind turbine. The design process blended means and methods in the other fields of technology, in order to verify the accuracy of the calculation results, we will conduct an experiments in wind tunnel.First of all, the basic theory of wind turbine blade design carried on the thorough analysis, and compared the current main design method, and eventually selected Wilson optimization design method combined with the mathematical software Matlab to complete blade aerodynamic shape design. This article also use Matlab to calculate the aerodynamic performance of wind turbine.After the blade shape parameters are determined, the3D model will be carried out and the modal analysis will be calculated by using SolidWorks software. The modeling methods do not need to coordinate transformation, combined using Profili, Auto CAD, SolidWorks software, it will be easy to complete3D modeling. Modal analysis is to get the inherent frequency of the blade, in order to judge the possibility of resonance under the normal operation of the wind turbine..In this paper, using the Bladed software to complete the whole wind turbine performance calculation, the result include:basic aerodynamic information, the steady state operating power curve and the steady operating load, etc. Then, compare the above obtained data with the design parameters of wind turbine, analyses the differences and explain its reason.Finally, determine the actual output power of the wind turbine through the wind tunnel experiment, achieve the power curve and wind energy utilization coefficient curve. Compare the two experiment curves with the calculation results that obtained before, lay the foundation for further improvement.
