Based on Inner Mongolia power plant2×600MW direct air-cooling unit as theresearch object, in view of the current prevalence of direct air-cooling unit operationparameters, stability and economy affected by the environment wind prominent problems,ANSYS software was carried out on the air-cooling island and the surrounding buildings1:13D modeling, using standard turbulence model for numerical simulation.Respectivelyto study the impact mechanism of the large wind speed range, high wind frequency oflateral wind and serious effect on the capabilities of the air-cooling island furnace laterwind, fan inlet speed and temperature is analyzed in different environmental windconditions.The results show that the adverse environmental conditions can significantly affectthe air-cooling condenser heat transfer capacity and air-cooling units runningstability.Lateral wind, the wind speed of3m/s, the phenomenon that reverse suction at fanentrance is not obvious, the phenomenon that hot air reflow is the main factor that affectsthe performance of air-cooling island;with the increase of wind speed, the phenomenonthat hot air reflow gradually weakened, the phenomenon that reverse suction at windwardside fan entrance was intensified, the number of the fan with reverse suction also increase,the phenomenon that reverse suction become the main factors influencing the performanceof air-cooling island.Furnace later wind, wind speed of3m/s, almost all the fan entrance toappear the phenomenon of hot air reflow, overall, the phenomenon that hot air reflow ofthe fan near the wind break wall is relatively serious, all the fan entrance did not occur thephenomenon of reverse suction;with the increase of wind speed, the phenomenon that hotair reflow gradually weakened, less tendency for air-cooling island is spread from center toaround, but at the same time, the wind velocity at all the fan entrance become to downwardtrend, when wind speed reach12m/s,the inlet velocity of the fan near the wind break wallwas reduced almost to zero, and even some areas appear the phenomenon of reversesuction. This paper reveals the environmental wind effects on the performance of direct air-cooling unit, in-depth study for the air cooling unit operation problems caused by windfield change have theoretical guidance and practical reference value.
