Along with the social progress and development, commercial streets as animportant of city life have gradually charged from the single shopping place forresidents into the living space to provide people for shopping, entertainment,leisure,connunication and other diversified acticities.In the context of the raoidurbanization, China commercial streets are among in the large-scale renovation andnew construction.By analyzing and knowing about the history of the development ofthe comeercial streets from China and foreign countries,we learn about theexperience,lesson and excellent design practices,then provide a certain amount oftheoretical for the construction of the modern connercial streets.This article think thatthe construction of commercial street should be starting on the point of view aboutvitality,by studying on the characteristics of people and activities in the streetspace.we could create the commercial streets as public places fill with vitality andcharm.We also use the actual case to test the effect about the construction ofcommercial streets,strive to find the principle and the method about the structure ofvitality in commercial Streets which are suitable for China.By reviewing the course of development of the commercial street and analyzingthe characteristics of commercial street, this article divides the commercial street into3categories,which is people, activity and space, and paves the way for the study ofthe structure of vitality in commercial street.By analyzing the vitality content of thecommercial street, the article points out that the commercial street vitality content isproviding users with the consumer support of diversity and diversification.Itperformances as the commercial street allow the people’s consumer damand on streetabout shopping,dining,leisure,entertainment,a variety of modern business andleisure.At the same time,commercial streets is the recreation and exchanges and otherpublic places.By analyzing of the vitality needs about three categories which is people,activity and space, the article come to the evaluation criteria of the connercial vitalityof the street.Then this article instance of the survey analysis on Hunan Road commercial street,researching the location of the Hunan Road,,traffic organization,actibities and space.By analyzing features and problesms about Hunan Roadcommercial street, we fing the realistic basis for studying on the structure of vitality incommercial streets.Finally, on the basis of the previous studies, this article putforward the shape of the principle of the vitality of commercial street, andrepresentative cases at home and abroad for reference, we obtain the principle and themethod about The Structure Of Vitality in commercial Street which on the basis of thepeople, the activities and the space.
