An Investigation Of The Landscape Design Of The University Science Parks In Nanjing

As the material vehicle demonstrating the image and culture of the park,College SciencePark is increasingly attracting the attention to its construction from administrators anddesigners.It is a significant meausre of College Science Park development to enhance theconstruction of park landscape and promote the environment quality of park landscape.I conducted research works by means of questionnaire survey and visit to some parks,analyzed and studied the current situation of the parks before summing up the current situationproblems. By selection of plant and tree species, creation of micro-topography, combination ofeconomic plants, agriculture and landscape, and application of history legend, park creationmethod, traditional materials, technological development in landscape design, the industriallandscape characterized by the integration of local characteristics and modern knowledgefeatures comes into being.After that, we studied the local nature of Nanjing in terms of natural resource, humanisticenvironment and local laws and regulations. Finally, we sought for effective improvementmethods based on the shortage in current situation.Basing its analysis and research on thereview of relevant theories and empirical surveys,this article attempts to assay the status quoof landscape environment of College Science Park in Nanjing area.With the research areabeing Najing city and the research object bing College Science Park landscape,the authorselected4typical College Science Park and conducted field research.In addition, to solve the existing problems of park landscape in Nanjing, studies havebeen made from the view of users in the following aspects: laying emphasis on regional scaleand improving traffic quality; creating public participation in and compound functions ofcommunication space; developing accessibility of green space; strengthening regionalidentification and building complete and perfect identification system; providing completeservice facilities and enhancing comfortableness; presenting places of cultural heritage;shaping park theme; and showing scientific and technological level with the purpose toprovide certain reference and instruction in terms of future building of university science park.The innovation is achieved by building various forms of landscapes in university scienceparks with distinctive features by adjusting measures to local conditions on the basis ofcurrent situation of park landscape constructions in Nanjing. The completion of this paper will furtherimprove the planning and construction theory for university science park landscape design inNanjing and provide suggestions in terms of landscape construction and management inuniversity science parks. It has a universal guiding significance on park landscape in Nanjingand it is of theoretical significance of improving landscape construction in university sciencepark and positive value of application and promotion.
