In the current whole society, the children are the flowers to the motherland, are the hopeand future. The primary school is an important place where children can learn andcommunicate with the other people, which is the start stage in children’s life. Teaching space isan important part of schools, and a place for students to learning and getting entertainmentduring school time.Color has been widely recognized on people’s emotional regulation and promoting thedevelopment of mental health, color has the more impact on children then on adults, so colordesign for children space is particularly important. Color design,an indivisible and can’t beneglected part of interior design, reasonable design and use of color undoubtedly plays anirreplaceable role on the students.So, whether the design on interior color environment in teaching space and layoutreasonable or not, coordinated or not, both have a direct influence on students. How to createa comfortable, good variety on the basis of teaching space is increasingly drawing the attentionto the wide range of personal attention from the government&society, meanwhile, more andmore professionals are also caring about this question. Based on this thinking, this thesisstudies on "color environmental design on teaching space in elementary school, conducted aninvestigation,analysis, and design practice on interior color environment design in theelementary school space.In this paper, the research system is mainly divided into three parts:The first part-the first chapter which introduces key information on the background oftopic, procedures and methods, and research significance, so as to have a more intuitiveunderstanding for the readers.The second part-the main study, including the second chapter, the third chapter and thefourth chapter. This part mainly collates and takes analysis on basic relevant laws andregulations, basic theoretical knowledge of color, principles and requirements on interiordesign in classroom space and the other relevant theoretical knowledge, and data collectionand analysis on the actual status, meanwhile, combined with the analysis and comparison of outstanding cases for the final project practice designed,so as to provide strong theoreticalsupport and guide for the final case.The third part-display on the achievements and conclusions, including Chapter5and Chapter6.This part takes " the color design on teaching space of Yizhuang primary school, Changshu "as an actual case and takes analysis on this case, through the analysis on actual cases, pointingout the features, path and the feasibility of the design practice strategy on color design ofteaching space in primary school, also having a try on color design of specific color design,trying to make some suggestions for interior color environment design and color schemedesign on classroom space of the primary school in China.
