For nuclear power plants, nuclear safety is the most important issue and so safetyanalysis plays an important role. In this thesis, the development and contents ofprobabilistic safety analysis (PSA) are summarized. Then PSA classification and processare introduced. According to the actual practical, the dynamic reliability method is used inthis thesis. Based on the analysis, the thesis points the traditional static reliability methodproblem, that it cannot reflect the failure probability changes during the equipment running.By using PSA with dynamic reliability method, the nuclear power plant component coolingwater system (CCS) failure was analyzed. The fault tree of CCS and dynamic fault treewere built up. By using the software risk-spectrum, the failure probabilities were calculated.And the key of CCS with influence probability was found and should be paid moreattention.Based on these works, the PSA issues and process are grasped. The key component ofCCS was founded. And these works also lay a foundation or the future PSA in Shandongprovince.
