Analysis And Application For The Relationship Between Basic Elements Of Design

Since the reform and opening up in the1980s, the achievements of China’s modern art design have gained worldwide attention, but there have been negative phenomena affecting the healthy development of environmental design. This paper argues that the emergence of these drawbacks is because some designers lose professional quality by the tide of commercialization. They blindly pursue unconventional forms, which also include non-rational development model of the government. By reviewing the design development at home and abroad, and using relevant research methods, the paper advocates "returning to the basic principles" and returning to analyze the basic design elements and its relationship.This paper is divided into five parts. After reviewing the fundamental problems, it demonstrates the feasibility of the topic, sets the analytical object in architectural design and interior design, and selects the basic elements in both fields for analysis. The so-called basic elements refer to the fundaments and common content in design, the abstracted basic structure relations, and the beginning of the design ideas. They are the fundamentals of space building in an architectural design, such as the design requirements, site locations, functional organization, traffic flow lines, structure, construction costs, etc.; the basic elements of interior design are a combination of shape, color, light and materials, etc. The case study explores how to start a design work from the design process, how to make progress until a final design is created. The final design is evolved based on some basic elements, which is a logical development process. Studying the relationship between basic design elements plays a crucial role to promote the design conception, establish a right design direction and ultimately realize the fundamental design goals.This paper argues that design learning needs to start from the basis. It requires rationally and comprehensively viewing the entire design process. Meanwhile it also calls on design educators to reform the teaching mode, concerns the development of national design strategies, as well as the popularity of social overall design consciousness. It is hoped that the research results of this project can provide a theoretical basis and development reference for applications in the design, as well as providing more useful reference for related design and research work.
