Automotive technology rapid development, more and moreapplications of electronic technology, computer technology, satellite communicationtechnology and Internet technology in the automobile, more and more common. Along withthe development of automotive embedded technology, vehicle detection and diagnosis is nolonger limited to vehicle, but can be achieved by monitoring and fault diagnosis ofautomobile remote wireless transmission technology, reach formerly automobilemaintenance industry can’t imagine working effect. Application of the technology, but alsogreatly developed auto service user’s potential, which derived a lot of additionalvalue-added services business, has a very broad market prospects.This paper studied the whole car remote monitoring and fault diagnosis system, thebasic principle, system composition, including work system technology route, to build thecommunication protocols and application scenarios. A detailed analysis of the on-boarddiagnosis system OBD composition, function, test items and method of diagnosis; keyanalysis of the meaning of OBD-II communication protocol. Design and development of aOBD vehicle terminal products based on Bluetooth wireless transmission, wirelesscommunication structure design, including the hardware of STM32F103C8T6SCMapplications, Bluetooth module BC417and the smart phone, software development andtesting system.Paper on the development of the vehicle remote monitoring and fault diagnosis systemin the car terminal Honda C-RV application was tested for performance verification, thedesign of products. This paper through the simulation setting real fault case, to test thepracticability and operability of the terminal diagnosis system; and results are used Hondaspecial diagnostic instrument testing, test results show that, the terminal diagnosis systemdeveloped can realize the remote monitoring and fault diagnosis of automobile function,has a certain practicality real-time acquisition, in vehicle operation parameters of vehiclerunning state monitoring and the real-time fault diagnosis.
