The design and development of automatic fruit-vegetablepacking machine not only satisfies the requirements of mechanical exploitation on agriculturalproducts by Hangzhou-Baixiangyuan Agricultural Product Exploitation Co. Ltd, but also theimportant study object on modern packing machines for agricultural product.In this study, the fruit-vegetable packing machine is able to fulfill the whole process offruit-vegetable supply, package-making of packing film, packing-sealing, and product output.With a high level of automatic packing, different kinds of packing parameters can be set throughthe human-machine interface, and the packing process is controlled by the control system (PLC)and servo system through feedback signals.The design procedure of the automatic fruit-vegetable packing machine is:(1) Parametersand packing mechanisms are confirmed according to packing requirements and packing process,and hence the process flow is decided. The over-all composition of the packing machine isconfirmed according to the requirement of artistic configuration, compact mechanism composition,and easy operation.(2) In accordance with production procedure, motion is allocated andtransmitted to the mechanical actuators, and the drive system is devised and drive ratio decided.(3)According to different mechanisms, respective actuators are chosen or designed.(4) According tothe irregularity of fruit-vegetable packing, a control system for the fruit-vegetable packingmachine is designed. Programmable logic controller (PLC) is used as the system’s control core,and the speed matching of every mechanism is realized, and hence packing process fulfilled. Theapplication of PLC significantly reduces the work of design, installation, and testing of thepacking machine. Real time adjustment is realized by the use of sensor, and consequently therequirement of high automation, mechanism synchronization, precise packing position, highpacking efficiency, and good packing quality can be realized.This fruit-vegetable packing machine has high automation, high accuracy, high efficiency,and good packing quality. It can pack not only fruit and vegetable of different sizes, but alsoproducts in other fields such as food, medicine, and daily necessities. It can satisfy consumers’increased requirement of safety, freshness, and packing on fruit and vegetable. It also has a positive effect on the development of packing machine in the field of fruit and vegetable. |
