Research On The Greenway Planning And Construction Of The Urban-rural Fringe Of Hangzhou West Lake District

The West Lake is a political, economic and cultural center in Hang Zhou, and it is also a frontierzone in development of urbanization. In this area, the conflict in economy, resources and environmentbetween countryside and city is serious. Therefore, it is very important in how to improve the ecologicalenvironment in the urban-rural fringe zone and how to use superior resource efficient. With thedeepening development in Hangzhou urban and rural integration, the research will focus on theurban-rural zone from the perspective of greenway, and raise the idea of building a whole fringegreenway planning.Firstly, the paper makes the deeply study on typical cases both in domestic and foreign, andfocuses on the construction in the urban and rural greenway, summing up the experiences from thesecases. The paper also sums up the theoretical basis of greenway research and construction so that wecan use it to guide focuses on the establishment of urban and rural green road, and constructionexperience of the case are summarized, summed up the theoretical basis of the application the planningand construction in urban and rural green way.Secondly, the paper elaborates the concept and characteristics of urban-rural fringe and greenwaysin detail. On the basis of that, the paper proposes the concept of urban-rural fringe greenways, and alsointroduces their characters and functions in a way of combining with studies case. The relevant basictheories about greenways building will also be seen in this paper, which includes the landscape gradientanalysis theory, the transitional space theory, low-carbon eco-city theory, the linear space theory,organic renewal theory.What’s more, the paper summarizes several general methods of urban-rural fringe greenwayconstruction. And also, the paper explains the key work, methods and procedures in building theurban-rural fringe greenways, which will provide the necessary theoretical basis and method for theconstruction of urban-rural fringe greenways.At last, based on the relevant studies and theories, the paper shows the examples of urban-ruralfringe greenways in West Lake area. In this section, the paper gives the investigation and analysis onnatural and human resources in West Lake District urban-rural fringe, and evaluates the naturalresources and human resources, space layout planning, suitability analysis, line selection plan, elementsplanning, and protection mechanism of Greenway Planning etc. The constituent elements mentioned in this paper include building green corridor, slow system, post and identification system. This argument ishelpful for balancing urban and rural development and relieve over-urbanization to a certain extent.Based on these researches, the paper would like to provide references and models for the same type ofurban-rural fringe greenway construction through the construction of West Lake urban-rural fringegreenway.
