| With the rapid development of highway construction in China, the situation that diseases appear in the asphalt concrete pavement is increasing, in which cracking becomes the main issue. In order to inhibit the crack propagation and reduce the disease of asphalt concrete pavement, double twisted steel wire mesh is added into the asphalt pavement. And then protective layer is formed, which raise tensile and bending strength of cracking section. Due to the stress concentration of crack tip, the traditional theory of elastic layered system can’t solve the crack extension issues.In order to study the anti-cracking mechanism of double twisted steel in the asphalt concrete pavement, it is necessary to analyze the reinforced asphalt concrete pavement. With the application of ABAQUS, 2D model of pavement structure is established based on plane strain problem. According to the section equivalent method, double twisted steel mesh is regarded as sheet steel. Different stress-strain results are analyzed under different conditions, such as the vehicle load of whether existing base transverse cracks, whether adding the double twisted steel and adding the double twisted steel in different locations of asphalt layer.When the base isn’t cracked, double twisted steel can not only add the anti-shear ability but also reduce the displacement and stress of asphalt concrete pavement through analysis. Therefore, it can strengthen the pavement. Because double twisted steel can burden great tension stress, the cracking section can burden certain flexural tensile effect. When transverse cracks exist in the base, double twisted steel can locally reinforce restriction effect in cracks, reduce the stress concentration of crack tip and opening deformation of cracking. When adding the double twisted steel, the pavement is improved and the deformation is reduced. The location change of double twisted steel mesh also affects the stress distribution of surface. |
