As a novel type of bridge structure, pre-stressed concrete box-girder bridge with corrugated steel webs is a steel-concrete composite structure consisting of concrete top and bottom slabs, externally pre-stressed tendons and corrugated steel webs. By joining concrete and steel together in an appropriate way, where the thick concrete webs are replaced by the thin steel plates, the self-weight can be effectively reduced and the strengths of two materials can be fully exploited. The use of external tendons greatly increases the overall capacity and durability of the structure, and results in easy maintenance. Meanwhile, it makes the appearance attractive and the construction convenient, and shortens the period. In this thesis, the structure and the features of the construction methods of this type of bridge are discussed, and some characteristics (e.g., the flexural strength, torsion strength, stability, and axial deformation) are investigated. In addition, the design and calculation methods are proposed, including the conceptual design, the cross section of the main beam, the calculation of the corrugated steel webs, the design of the pre-stress tendons. Meanwhile, those theoretical methods are applied to the practical design of the experimental bridge. The finite element analysis of the experimental bridge is conducted to study the stress states of the components of the main beam under different cases with the aid of ANSYS commercial software and GQJS planar frame computation software, especially for the normal stress of the top and the bottom slabs and the shear stress of the steel webs, and the bending strength of the cross section and the shear strength of the steel web in the ultimate limit state are checked. In the field test, some stress sensors and displacement sensors are deployed at two cross sections of the main beam to the collect stress data of the top and bottom slabs in each stage. The theoretical result agrees well with the field test, which indicates the reliability of the analysis. In reverse, the field test also improve the design method.
